My name is Donald Moody. Now retired, I practised as an osteopath and natural therapist for twenty four years and during that time I was presented with patients with low back pain on a daily basis, and, at times, suffered from it myself.
 
EXERCISE FOR LOW BACK PAIN.

Reasons for contracting low back pain are many and varied, trauma, pathological, activity related, and malformations, but by far the majority come from, “I just bent forward, I coughed or sneezed, I was just reaching for something, I just turned.”
 
These last reasons, in quotes, result in spontaneous low back pain and are probably the easiest to resolve. These reasons are too minor to be the real cause, of low back pain. More often than not there has to be a pre-existing factor and that is, the structure of the body is out of balance. Nine times out of ten, when a structural imbalance is also present. any of the above actions can tip the balance and result in low back pain. When the body is out of balance it affects not only the low back area, the spine goes into curvature, to compensate, and can therefore also affect all or any of the following:-
·        Neck restriction and pain.
·        The shoulder girdle and arms, pains, pins and needles, numbness.
·        Headaches and migraines.
·        Breathing difficulties, and rib pains.
·        Stomach and bowel disorders.
·        Leg pains, or numbness or pins and needles.
